Earlier last week, a reputable industry insider revealed an upcoming Nintendo Direct livestream may be announced very soon and Japanese video game developer/publisher Nintendo has even confirmed it very recently, proving his claims.
Shorty after today's Nintendo Direct Mini announcement for tomorrow, he also began teasing a Nintendo Switch port for NieR: Automata. A few days ago, he also vaguely teased a port for Red Dead Redemption 2 will be confirmed as well.
During a recent Twitch stream, Spanish gaming magazine Manual editor Nacho Requena hinted at a Switch port "that has been available for some time on other platforms … it's been available for four years now" without revealing a name.
Fans started wondering what game is available across other platforms for past four years and it perfectly matches with Red Dead Redemption 2, which originally released back in 2018 and was rumored to receive a Switch port a few times.
Nacho Requena teases at NieR: Automata or Red Dead Redemption 2 port for upcoming Direct presentation.
Venga, a disfrutar maƱana del Direct. Empezamos a las 15:30 con @AlvaroMortem, como siempre. https://t.co/j1q3fWT3xa pic.twitter.com/ZAU5stBxbj

Shorty after Nintendo Direct announcement for tomorrow, he began teasing a Nintendo Switch port for NieR: Automata by simply sharing a GIF of Yoko Taro clapping and clarifies that the title came out in 2017-2018, depending on version.
Possibilities of Red Dead 2 being ported to Switch have some merits though as players found an image of Nintendo Switch Pro controller hidden within game files, leading many to believe that RDR2 may receive a Switch port at some point.
When an updated version of original NieR was released in 2021, a dataminer found reference to "NX graphics settings", which actually is a development codename for Switch and it lead fans to speculate that maybe a Switch port is in works.
NieR: Automata made its debut for PC and PlayStation 4 back in 2017, followed by its Xbox One launch in 2018. Game director/writer Yoko Taro has expressed his interest for Switch version of Automata at Square Enix E3 2018 presentation.
