A placeholder leak at PlayStation Store has revealed last year that upcoming action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök by developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment releases on September 30, 2022.
Another recent update to PlayStation Network database has possibly hinted at a delay to 2023 and European sources were claiming the same. However, reputable industry insider believes it is currently planned for November 2022 release.
According to a new Bloomberg report by journalist Jason Schreier, people familiar with God of War: Ragnarök development claims that it is still due for a November release this year as Sony is likely to reveal a release date later this month.
Schreier was tipped by insider sources, who claim that a November release is still on, as of this week. With no official announcement by Santa Monica yet, release date for GoW: Ragnarök is now a topic of speculation among series players.
Earlier this week, there were some rumors regarding a possible delay of Ragnarök but Schreier expressed his doubts on such claims at ResetEra forums, stating that it would be hard to prove these reports wrong but sources claims no delay.
God of War: Ragnarök was scheduled to release last year but ended up getting delayed by dev team to deliver a quality game. Santa Monica creative director Cory Barlog asked players to be patient for news on Ragnarök back in April 2022.
