From Software's Next Game Final Stages of Development, Confirms Miyazaki

Even before the release of 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring, developer From Software made a name for itself among RPG fans worldwide with various titles like Demon's Souls as well as its follow-up successor franchise, Dark Souls.

While enjoying a huge success of Elden Ring recently, From Software is currently looking to hire people for multiple new projects. Moreover, studio president Hidetaka Miyazaki is teasing their next title already in final stages of development.

In a latest interview with Japanese gaming website 4Gamer, director Hidetaka Miyazaki talked a little bit about next From Software game. He also admitted working on a new title and hinted at planned updates for Elden Ring coming in future.

When asked about a 2018 interview where he revealed that multiple games are in development and whether any one of them is launching soon, Miyazaki indeed confirmed that one of them is already on final stages of development right now.

Miyazaki previously stated that From Software begin working on "three and a half" games since 2016. Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are two of them, while he refers to PlayStation VR adventure Déraciné as a half-game among all.

Only remaining title is still unannounced and he believes it's too soon to talk details about them but it will be a typical From Software experience. It could take dev team some time to shape up their ongoing project before it can be announced.

Fans are theorizing that From Software's new project could be Armored Core 6, which was part of a survey earlier this year. Some are hoping for a possible sequel to Bloodborne after so many years or it may be a surprise follow-up for Sekiro.

From Software's latest unannounced game is seemingly in development since at least 2016 and may soon be revealed. A recent earnings report also hinted at a possible Elden Ring DLC release in near future, which has not been confirmed yet.
