Following a ransomware leak at Japanese developer/publisher Capcom, a data breach revealed a lineup of many unannounced titles like a highly-anticipated Dragon's Dogma sequel, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Street Fighter 6 and other games.
At recent Capcom Showcase 2020 event, fans were hoping for an official confirmation but there was nothing other than a schedule to release a celebration video and Capcom ended up making a surprise announcement for Dragon's Dogma 2.
During 10th anniversary celebration livestream, director Hideaki Itsuno finally confirms a sequel to Dragon's Dogma is currently in works. Capcom is using their proprietary RE Engine to develop Dragon's Dogma II and will reveal more in future.
A few days after celebrating 10th anniversary of Dragon's Dogma last month, Capcom launched a new website, teasing a potential sequel. Fans were desperately hoping for a trailer at Capcom Showcase 2022 but there was no announcement.

Itsuno will also be joined by Dragon's Dogma art director Daigo Ikeno and environment art lead Kenichi Suzuki for upcoming sequel project, which is already in full production but a set release date and launch platforms are not yet confirmed.
