Industry insiders and leaker have been claiming that upcoming first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is likely to be revealed last month but developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision only teased fans with a brief footage.
Infinity Ward has been frequently teasing a worldwide reveal for Modern Warfare II across their social media sites for past few weeks. An official trailer for sequel to 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot has finally been released today.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II worldwide reveal trailer offers a first-look at its action-packed campaign story.
MWII campaign picks from the events of 2019's Modern Warfare, including a multiplayer and a tweaked Special Ops mode. Players will be fighting a global threat across numerous locations of America, Asia and Europe along with their allies.
Modern Warfare II reboot will bring back Task Force 141 members Captain John Price, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish and newly introduced character Colonel Alejandro Vargas.
Multiplayer experience adds a reworked Gunsmith customization system that is suited for both newcomers and veterans. Infinity Ward promises to release free post-launch content drops like new maps, game mode and limited time events.
Of course, a new free-to-play Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale experience is being worked on by Infinity Ward and Raven Software, which is powered by same engine used to create Modern Warfare (2019) to deliver a flawless experience.
Although latest trailer features a number of cut-scenes from campaign storyline, there was little to no gameplay at all. However, Infinity Ward will reportedly reveal more during Summer Game Fest and first-look at gameplay on June 9, 2022.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is set to arrive across PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on October 28, 2022. Pre-orders for Standard, Cross-Gen Bundle and Vault Edition are already live now on all digital outlets.
