After months of anticipation and speculation, developer Respawn Entertainment and publisher Electronic Arts has finally revealed upcoming action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a follow-up sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
Industry insiders previously claimed that Fallen Order sequel will have a "Survivor" subtitle that already hints at its darker tone. More recently, game director Stig Asmussen confirms that Jedi: Survivor will be a lot darker than its predecessor.
During an interview with official Star Wars website lately, director Stig Asmussen revealed that Jedi: Survivor is more menacing and mysterious. Fans are going to be intrigued by its dark tone and left with a lot of questions when they play it.
Fallen Order sequel is all about survival during a dark time and therefore, it is called "Survivor". Cal and his friends are trying to stay alive by doing whatever it takes and making connection to people that they would deem spiteful otherwise.
Respawn has somewhat teased a sense of dread in newly released trailer for Jedi: Survivor and more to be revealed soon. An unknown figure was seen in a bacta tank and there was a glance of an apparent Sith Lord other than Darth Vader.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is currently expected to arrive next year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Respawn is also working on two more Star Wars projects; a first-person shooter and a strategy game by ex-Firaxis Games developers.
