On last week, an insider shared a number of concept art for a new Silent Hill game across social media before they were quickly taken down with DMCA copyright claim by developer/publisher Konami, further supporting their legitimacy.
Newly shared images suggest upcoming Silent Hill may have British influence and one of them is signed by Silent Hill artist Masahiro Ito. A new report claims that multiple Silent Hill projects are now in works, including Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Throughout this weekend, another insider NateTheHate2 reported that a remake of Silent Hill 2 is currently under development at Polish studio Bloober Team, which was later corroborated by VentureBeat journalist Jeff Grubb in a Tweet.
According to latest sources, upcoming remake will feature new animations, have a reworked AI, puzzles and multiple new endings. Moreover, Silent Hill 2 Remake will probably be released as a timed exclusive game for PlayStation console.
Ever since Bloober Team has made a strategic co-operation agreement with Konami, there has been rumor of a new Silent Hill game. Bloober CEO Piotr Babieno has also hinted at working on an existing horror IP from a gaming publisher.
Earlier in 2021, Silent Hill original composer Akira Yamaoka has teased his involvement in a fan-favorite project during a video interview. Yamaoka previously worked at Bloober Team on their 2021 psychological horror game The Medium.
Jeff Grubb and NateTheHate2 recently confirmed rumors regarding multiple Silent Hill projects on Twitter.
This is the stuff I've heard, and it comes from multiple different sources. Not all of my sources are primary, but everything is mostly lining up. To me, the biggest indicator is the stuff I've seen lines up with Konami doing a big reveal at E3 last year before it pulled out. https://t.co/GzUb3jzrwX

Previous reports claim that Konami is actively trying to revive some their biggest franchises like Castlevania and Metal Gear Solid. They are even discussing possibilities to bring back Silent Hill IP across several games for modern platforms.
Konami plans to make one of these projects as smaller, episodic series of short stories a lot like Dark Pictures Anthology. There is a potential chance of Annapurna Interactive to be involved in story-focused title among many other studios.
A new mainline entry is also planned in order to truly revive Silent Hill franchise but there is no word on who is working on it. Early reports suggest that a Japanese studio is handling Silent Hill game and it could even be Kojima Productions.
Silent Hill (2020) image leaks are reportedly tied to a PT-style teaser game, which is codenamed "Sakura". Konami wanted to release it as a free digital title to hype up fans for bigger projects in future, a lot like how Hideo Kojima would do it.
