After being delayed earlier, fans were worrying about upcoming action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök by developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment getting moved to next year, due to lack of updates.
Although an official launch date for God of War: Ragnarök has not been given yet, Santa Monica insists that it is still coming this year. Meanwhile, a newest rating for Ragnarök recently spotted in South Korea strongly suggests at a 2022 release.
Following months of fan-speculation on whether Ragnarök will be delayed again or not, a latest listing on Game Rating and Administration Committee in South Korea possibly hints at a release much sooner than people have originally expected.
God of War: Ragnarök receives an 18 certificate for age rating at South Korean rating board as it features blood, drinking alcohol as an expression for use of drugs, excessive violence, profanity, curse words, vulgarity and many realistic weapons.

South Korean rating doesn't guarantee an imminent release but it clearly indicates that devs are probably on track with 2022 launch. Horizon Forbidden West was previously rated in November 2021, only three months before a February release.
God of War: Ragnarök is likely to arrive this holiday season for PlayStation 4 and 5, as a PSN leak revealed a release date for September 30, 2022. When producer Cory Barlog asked fans to have patience earlier, many fans feared of another delay.
