Shortly after 2019 action strand game Death Stranding from developer Kojima Productions and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment made its debut on PlayStation 4, game director Hideo Kojima begins to tease a sequel game on Twitter.
Hollywood actor Norman Reedus (The Boondock Saints, The Walking Dead) has played the role of Sam Porter Bridges in Death Stranding has teased working on a sequel previously and earlier this week, leading Kojima to make a cryptic reply.
During his interview, Reedus recently told men's style digital publication LEO about working on a Death Stranding sequel. Shortly afterwards, director Hideo Kojima took notice of it and starts poking fun at The Walking Dead actor on Twitter.
Kojima posted a few images of him and Norman Reedus on social media, acknowledging that a sequel is in works. He says, "Go to your private room, my friend" as a reference to players' own private room where they take rest and get better.

In first image, Kojima is wielding a replica of Lucille, a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire that belongs to iconic TWD character Negan. In second photo, he pretends to swing at Reedus from behind and then, they reconciles in the third one.
Kojima's mock execution of Reedus is a reference to Season 6, Episode 16 of The Walking Dead, marking the first appearance of Negan, a character based on original comic-book that is played by actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan (TWD, Watchmen).
It would not be a very far-fetched idea for Kojima wanting to cast JDM to portray an important role in a sequel. Death Stranding already had an ensemble cast and he considered actor Keanu Reeves (Constantine, The Matrix) in a crucial role.
Death Stranding 2 has seemingly been confirmed by Kojima's response to Reedus' interview on social media but Kojima previously stated that Kojima Productions is working on a big AAA-title for a mass audience and an experimental project.
