A follow-up sequel to 2019 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reboot has been rumored to release this year for a while, which was confirmed by developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision as they teased it earlier on social media sites.
Activision has recently unveiled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and a set release date for later in 2022. Meanwhile, dataminers have already found many references to upcoming first-person shooter in latest Call of Duty: Vanguard patch.
Call of Duty dataminers have recently discovered multiple details regarding Modern Warfare II within newly released Season 3: Reloaded update for Vanguard, which includes MW II editions, pre-order bonuses and an open beta program.
Newfound files suggest that Activision is currently planning to release three versions of MW 2; Standard Edition, Cross-Gen Bundle and Vault Edition, offering PlayStation players Early Access to Open Beta if they choose to pre-order early.
Vault Edition will be including 50 tiers of Season 1 Battle Pass, Red Team Operator Pack (Ghost, Soap, Price and Farah), FJX Cinder Weapon Vault, double XP as well as weapon XP for 10 hours and Ghost Legacy Pack for blueprint and skins.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will release a number of exclusive in-game content for owners of Sony consoles due to an early deal with Activision before Microsoft buyout and Call of Duty will be on PlayStation for another three years.
