A follow-up sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles 2, upcoming action role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles 3 by developer Monolith Soft and publisher Nintendo was announced earlier during Nintendo Direct February 2022 livestream.
Xenoblade 3 was originally scheduled for a September 2022 release window up until now and today, Nintendo releases a brand-new trailer showcasing gameplay mechanics and revealed a surprise release date, set for July 29, 2022.

Latest Xenoblade 3 trailer briefly highlights on characters, gameplay mechanics and story bits without context. Noah and Mio are introduced as new characters, with number of active party members have been increased up to seven.
Using new Interlink gameplay feature, characters can merge themselves together into a hybrid robot-like being called an Ouroboros. Noah, Mio, Lanz, Sena, Eunie and Taion have their own role to play and having unique class powers.
After being confirmed for a 2022 window, fans were skeptical about whether Xenoblade 3 will launch this year. Now that Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel has been delayed, it can easily become a big holiday season release.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be releasing digitally and in physical edition, arriving exclusively for Nintendo Switch consoles. Special Edition will include a 250 page hardcover art-book as well as a steel case, available at My Nintendo Store.
