Marvel's Avengers to Add Jane Foster's Thor as New Hero

Ever since launch, developer Crystal Dynamics and publisher Square Enix have released a few DLC packs, playable heroes, operations and storyline to improve overall gameplay experience for 2020 superhero brawler Marvel's Avengers.

In a recent development update, Crystal Dynamics discusses upcoming patch 2.4 coming next month. Marvel's Avengers dev team also promises to introduce their next playable hero Jane Foster, The Mighty Thor later in summer 2022.

Crystal Dynamics promises to fans that Jane Foster's moniker of Thunder God will not be a re-skin of Thor and his powers. Despite having similarities with Odinson, she will feature distinct character elements that are unique to her own.

Dev team also talks about how their hero designs are inspired by comic-book appearance and not popular Marvel movies. Crystal Dynamics don't have a date Jane Foster's Thor will become available and will share further details in future.

Patch 2.5 is planning to bring improvements to event system by increasing rewards and make more compelling objectives for events like Cosmic Threat, Corrupted Vibranium and Tachyon Anomaly as they all enter a rotational calendar.

Marvel's Avengers usually takes inspiration from comic-book storylines and often reference to Marvel Cinematic Universe as well. Earlier last month, a leaker teased Thor: Love and Thunder crossover content ahead of its release this year.
