Amidst ongoing celebration of Kingdom Hearts' series 20th Anniversary event earlier, Kingdom Hearts IV was announced by developer/publisher Square Enix and Disney, which is currently in early development and has no release date yet.
Square Enix also revealed a brand-new mobile game Kingdom Hearts: Missing-Link, releasing in late 2022. Shortly after announcement, fans took notice of an Easter egg that may be a tease to Star Wars crossover with Kingdom Hearts series.
Kingdom Hearts 4 reveal trailer opens up in a forest environment, where it seems like a foot of an AT-ST Walker can be seen behind. Fans are theorizing it to be Endor from Star Wars Episode VI: Return of The Jedi, hinting at series crossover.
Even though blurry, taking a closer look at AT-ST Walker concept art shows a clear resemblance to its heel in the background. If these connections are accurate, then it could be a major step up for Kingdom Hearts series to a galaxy far, far away.

Kingdom Hearts may even move away from featuring only classic Disney/Pixar characters and showcases other IPs. Disney owns Star Wars franchise rights for over a decade now but has yet to collaborate with Square for a major crossover.
Kingdom Hearts creator Tetsuya Nomura teased at possibility of introducing other Disney IPs in past but couldn't do it due to licensing issues. However, Disney was reportedly very cooperative for letting Sora join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
At one point, Disney may even consider bringing its Marvel properties as well as newly acquired 20th Century Fox IPs to series. So, it's very much plausible for them to allow Star Wars universe to interact with Sora and his friends in KHIV now.
Kingdom Hearts IV was first leaked through Nvidia GeForce Now database last year along with a number of other unannounced projects. Square Enix has not confirmed a release date yet but is likely to launch KH4 across current-gen consoles.
