Call of Duty 2022 Will Reportedly Be Revealed in May 2022 |
Due to poor sales of Call of Duty: Vanguard in 2021, publisher Activision decides to skip annual Call of Duty release for 2023. A latest report claims that remastered version of Call of Duty 1, 2 and World at War are currently in development.
Earlier in February, developer Infinity Ward has confirmed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone Chapter 2 for this year. A known industry leaker recently claims that Call of Duty 2022 reveal date will possibly be revealed in May 2022.
Call of Duty leaker RalphsValve shares a countdown image on social media lately that mentions April 30, with remaining days and hours. This may imply that Activision is planning to announce Call of Duty game for 2022 by end of this month.
RalphsValve eventually clarifies his previous Tweet saying that Call of Duty 2022 is still set to be revealed in May 2022. However, Activision may release a teaser trailer on April 30 to announce an official date of reveal, just like CoD: Vanguard.
Call of Duty insider RalphsValve shares an alleged date of reveal for newest Call of Duty game on Twitter.

Call of Duty: Vanguard sold lesser copies than its 2020's predecessor title Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and had low number of players. Other than featuring a WWII-era setting, its failure is attributed to lack of content and few other issues.
Activision is seemingly revealing Call of Duty 2022 pretty early compared to Black Ops Cold War and Vanguard, both revealed in August. This break in usual release schedule is also due to poor sales numbers of Vanguard, according to reports.
