A previous report by Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier claimed, upcoming action-adventure game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League by developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher WB. Interactive will be delayed to a 2023 window.

WB Games have already confirmed a release date for Gotham Knights and a launch window for Hogwarts Legacy earlier this month. However, WB has announced to delay Rocksteady's highly-anticipated Suicide Squad game to next year.


In a surprise announcement today, Rocksteady Studios creative director and co-founder Sefton Hill reveals that Suicide Squad: KTJL has officially been delayed and will now be releasing for PC and next-generation consoles on spring 2023.

Suicide Squad dev team made a difficult decision of delaying their project for next year to make further improvements. About a month ago, Schreier mentioned his insider sources on his report for a postponement of Kill the Justice League.


Rocksteady creative director Sefton Hill shared their decision to delay Suicide Squad to spring 2023 on Twitter.



Rocksteady's newest title features Task Force X members Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn and King Shark. These villains are assembled by Amanda Waller and are sent to eliminate Justice League, world's greatest super-heroes.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is a genre-bending co-op shooter by Rocksteady, set in an open-world Metropolis. Suicide Squad game was originally revealed along with Gotham Knights during DC FanDome digital event back in 2020.
