Earlier this month, developer/publisher Capcom made an announcement to launch next-gen upgrade for remakes of Resident Evil 2, 3 and Resident Evil 7 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles very soon for no extra charge.
Capcom even promised to deliver a patch offering similar graphical advancements for players on PC platform. Today, they also confirmed that save data and some DLCs will be transferred over to their respective upgraded versions.
List of DLCs that will be carried over to PS5 and Series X/S includes Banned Footage Vol. 1 and 2, End of Zoe epilogue episode and free Not a Hero DLC that comes along with Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition, according to Capcom sources.
It was claimed by known leaker AestheticGamer1 last year that Capcom is working on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Resident Evil 7. Although no possible window of launch is revealed yet, they are likely to release later this year.
Resident Evil 2, 3 and Resident Evil 7 next gen-versions will support save data transfer and carry over DLCs.

Following massive success of Resident Evil 2 and 3 Remakes, a remake for Resident Evil 4 was greenlit by Capcom a few years back. RE4 remake project was helmed by Tatsuya Minami-led studio M-Two before it moved to Division 1.
Resident Evil 4 Remake reportedly made some changes to original story and will be revealed soon in early 2022. Meanwhile, Capcom already started working on a sequel to Resident Evil: Village in 2018 and may launch it next year.
