During a latest State of Play event, developer Avalanche Software and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has revealed gameplay footage for Hogwarts Legacy and a release window scheduled for holiday 2022 season.
Hogwarts Legacy was originally announced for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S back in 2020. However, a recently published FAQ page confirms that it will be coming to Nintendo Switch consoles as well.
Harry Potter franchise fans will be surprised to know that Hogwarts Legacy is also arriving on Nintendo handheld consoles alongside other platforms but neither Avalanche nor WB Games confirmed whether it will be a cloud version.
For larger games like upcoming Wizarding World RPG, cloud release will often be only option for Switch players to enjoy a game. Despite a number of technical limitations, it allows you to stream bigger games on handheld consoles.
Avalanche dev team took a deep dive into Hogwarts Legacy gameplay, offering an extended look at its immersive open-world. Details regarding character customization, learning spells, combat styles and lots more were shown off.
Hogwarts Legacy becomes a controversial topic of discussion after Harry Potter series author J.K Rowling commented on LGBTQ community, causing a stir on social media and leading WB Games to distance themselves from Rowling.
