There have been waves of industry reports and claims regarding upcoming highly-anticipated action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto VI by developer/publisher Rockstar Games for past few years, which is likely to continue for a while.
Rockstar Games confirms earlier that newest Grand Theft Auto game is currently under active development but didn't reveal much detail. An industry analyst recently claims that GTA 6 will have four cities and over 500 hours of gameplay.
According to Wedbush Securities managing director of equity research Michael Pachter, GTA 6 was in development since 2014. However, Rockstar was probably trying to figure out the story and have not started writing code up until 2015.
With a massive development team of around 2000 stuffs, Rockstar was busy creating amazing content for GTA VI, which may take a decade as it adds Vice City, Liberty City and San Andreas from past GTA games as well as London, Europe.
Video game analyst Michael Pachter reveals that GTA 6 will have four cities and 500 hours of content.
Players will be able to visit anywhere on these locations to take on various missions that takes place there. By the size of it, Grand Theft Auto 6 could be a four or five hundred hour game at launch, which will be worth a premium $60 price.
After a while, Rockstar Games will offer you an online experience and players will be roaming across London to Los Angeles or in Miami, carrying out missions and therefore, such a lengthy development period actually make sense after all.
Of course, these claims are exciting for series fans but there is still no official confirmation or whatsoever. Rockstar is lately focusing on GTA Online over any other project and apologized after a bug-filled launch of GTA Trilogy: Remaster.
Earlier in January, Rockstar Games' parent company Take-Two financial forecast has hinted at possible Grand Theft Auto VI release window in fiscal year 2024 but it will probably take some time for fans to get first-look at a trailer or image.
