At last year's DC FanDome 2021 event, developer WB Games Montréal and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive revealed a new story trailer for upcoming action role-playing game Gotham Knights but didn't confirm a release date.
Shortly after a leaked playtest was leaked on SteamDB, an Irish retailer has allegedly leaked a launch date. Today, WB Games Montréal officially reveals a release date for Gotham Knights, which is set to arrive on October 25, 2022.
Gotham Knights lets you play as Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood and Robin against a new enemy in solo or two-player co-op mode. Bat-Family members were assembled to protect the streets after a mysterious demise of Bruce Wayne.
Even though many fans were expecting to see Gotham Knights being released within next few months to ride on the success of The Batman movie premier worldwide, dev team has decided to launch their newest project in late 2022.
Following various industry reports of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League getting delayed to 2023, fans were speculating whether Gotham Knights will be moved as well but then Warner Media exec vaguely confirms a 2022 launch.
Gotham Knights was pushed back to 2022 from its original 2021 release window in one of the major game delays of last year. With its release date announced lately, WB Games is likely to reveal a gameplay trailer in coming months.
