A hidden colosseum arena found by modder Lance McDonald could possibly hint at future multiplayer DLC plans for Elden Ring.

In less than two weeks of launch, 2022 action role-playing game Elden Ring by developer From Software and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment has become the fastest-selling Souls-like game in UK boxed sales history on all platforms.
While everyone else is busy battling demigods of Lands Between, modder Lance McDonald has recently discovered a hidden colosseum arena within expansive map of Elden Ring, which could possibly be hinting at a multiplayer DLC in future.
McDonald used a mod to explore previously inaccessible in-game location, only to found a fully complete colosseum. Many fans are theorizing that a multiplayer DLC is coming soon, allowing players to fight each other in arena-style combat.
Moving his camera, McDonald enters through a dark wall and found the gates of coliseum that reveals a massive arena inside. Speculating on social media, he claims that Elden Ring may add a multiplayer arena DLC, sometime in near future.
Lance McDonald has also uploaded his captured footage of newly discovered colosseum arena on YouTube.
Anyone heading over to the outside area of arena will cause an AI-controlled invader to spawn, which should have been another player. It could suggest that From Software may have plans to use this arena for competitive multiplayer battles.
From Software has not made any comments on newfound coliseum area, nor did they confirm any plans for possible multiplayer DLC. Although there is no online PvP in Elden Ring elements, they were often included in previous Souls games.
Despite suffering from several technical issues at launch, Elden Ring reaches 6th highest player count on Steam. Given its incredible success, From Software may decide to extend post-launch support soon before moving to a follow-up sequel.
Elden Ring already has a multiplayer system for players to go up against challenging enemies in co-operative gameplay. Player character, Tarnished can summon a number of allies in battle by using Furled Finger and take down foes as a group.
