Back in December 2021, release date for PlayStation-exclusive action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök from Santa Monica Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment was leaked via PlayStation Network and a Saudi Arabia rating.
Santa Monica and Sony neither confirmed nor denied these leaks yet but continues to remain awfully silent for long. However, a known industry insider has recently claimed that Ragnarök still arriving in 2022, on social media platform.
Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier has responded to a query by a God of War fan, asking if it will end up being delayed to 2023 on GamingLeaksAndRumours sub-Reddit lately, to which he replied with a simple answer by saying "nope".
Noticing no development update or promotional material online for months, many fans have assumed that the game is probably getting delayed to next year but given Schreier's previous record, Ragnarök may still be on track for 2022.
Although he doesn't offer much information, fans are apparently relieved for now until Santa Monica and Sony begins to talk about it again. Hopefully, dev team will soon announce a date of launch, most possibly scheduled for Q3 2022.
God of War: Ragnarök is a direct sequel to 2018 rebooted saga that brings back Kratos and his son Atreus for another mythical adventure. This iconic father-son due is likely to face enemies like Freya and mighty Thor, the God of Thunder.
