Originally scheduled to release last year, 2022 action role-playing survival horror game Dying Light 2: Stay Human by developer/publisher Techland finally made its debut earlier this week across all major gaming platforms worldwide.
Dying Light fans, who can't get enough of its zombie action can now raise the difficulty level a little bit with Extreme Nights fan-made mod for Dying Light 2 by making minor changes to in-game setting and increase overall challenges.
Modder UD24 previously released Extreme Nights mod for first Dying Light game and recently has rolled out latest version for sequel. Newest mod is an improvement on original, making a few tweaks to overtly change the experience.
Extreme Nights V2: The Return of the King mod doubles up Dying Light 2's nighttime and will bring down daytime to half. Density of zombie crowds increases two times that usual at night and a Howler spawn more zombies if alerted.
Other than keeping an eye on more vigilant zombies during night, players should be aware of their immunity timers. You should make good use of consumables at all times and make good use of every gears at your disposal to survive.
Whenever a chase begins at nighttime, you can usually expect to encounter about two dozens of Volatile enemies. You can also come across GRE Anomalies, special infected types that will drop you Inhibitor loot for Revenants Trophy.
Interested players can head over to Nexus Mods and download Extreme Nights V2 mod, which comes with installation instructions as well. Uploader has made it so simple that you just have to copy and paste a single file to game folder.
Dying Light 2 getting delayed several times have eventually worked in favor of Techland studio in the end. DL2 has received generally positive feedback from fans and reached a concurrent player number of 156,000 on Steam at launch.
