More than a year after official reveal, developer Rocksteady Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Interactive confirms a release window for upcoming action-adventure game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League during DC FanDome 2021.
A day ahead of The Game Awards 2021 event, Rocksteady hinted at a showcase and unveiled a new gameplay trailer, highlighting third-person shooting mechanics, movesets, traversal as well as various weapons of Task Force X members.
Warner Bros. Games reveals first gameplay footage of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at TGA 2021.
After showing an evil Superman in first cinematic trailer last year, Suicide Squad moved focus to scarlet speedster, The Flash. Known as the fastest man alive, he has now been brainwashed and is under full influence of super-villain Brainiac.
Captain Boomerang combines his gadgets and speed, whereas Deadshot relies on his jetpack to shoot down Brainiac's minions. Harley Quinn is very agile with her attacks and King Shark simply uses raw strength and chews his enemies off.
Flash gives a tough time to Suicide Squad, as they desperately try to stop him at any cost in Kill the Justice League gameplay trailer. He even repeatedly mocks Boomerang for failing to shoot at him before eventually knocking each other.
Amanda Waller sent her elite team of villains to thwart an invasion on Earth by Brainiac and kill anyone that comes at them. Justice League heroes like Flash and many other are likely to serve as major boss character in Suicide Squad: KTJL.
Warner Bros. Games previously released a cinematic trailer showing Task Force X going against DC's popular superhero team Justice League. Rocksteady has marketed Suicide Squad: KTJL as a genre-bending action-adventure shooter title.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is scheduled to launch next year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms. Players can jump into some solo action with AI companion or join up to four players for an online co-op experience.
