A long-running rumor of 2D fighting game Persona 4 Arena Ultimax coming to Nintendo Switch, PC and PlayStation 4 recently became true when developer Atlus announces a definitive release date set for 2022 at The Game Awards 2021.
Shortly after P4 Arena Ultimax announcement, rumor of a remaster for a multiplatform release of Persona 3 Portable has recently been surfaced online by a reliable insider, ahead of Persona 25th anniversary celebration on March 2022.
In a latest blog post, industry leaker Zippo has claimed that PlayStation Portable version of 2006 role-playing game Persona 3 is getting re-released for multiplatform very soon after successfully reporting on Persona 4 Arena Ultimax earlier.
Since insider Zippo didn't reveal any further information, nor mentioned any sources to support such claims; it would be wise for series fans to take these rumors with a pinch of salt until Atlus officially announces Persona 3 Portable soon.
Zippo posted a number of "W"s to his blog for successfully predicting P4A Ultimax and says only the following.
Oh, and Persona 3 Portable is getting a remaster. Multiplatform.
Atlus is porting popular JRPG series Persona to PC with Persona 4: Golden last year and Persona 5: Strikers in early 2021. Both of these games were well received by fans but a mainline Persona title is yet to be released for Nintendo Switch.
Atlus previously teased working on several projects for Persona 25th anniversary celebration in between September 2021 and autumn 2022. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax could be among these unannounced projects.
