A month ago, known rapper Snoop Dogg claimed that famed record producer Dr. Dre was busy making music for an upcoming Grand Theft Auto project that many fans thought to be a tease for long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI game.
Earlier today, developer/publisher Rockstar Games announces their newest content update for multiplayer mode of 2013 crime action-adventure game Grand Theft Auto V titled The Contract, which is coming soon on December 15, 2021.

GTA Online: The Contract story expansion is set years after events of GTA 5 story campaign and brings back protagonist Franklin Clinton. He is currently running a "celebrity solutions agency" in Los Santos for wealthy elites of Vinewood.
Franklin gets a call from DJ Pooh for retrieving a smartphone that belonged to his friend Dr. Dre and it was lost during a skirmish at Cayo Perico. His new, unreleased tracks are in wrong hands now and you must get them back at any cost.
Franklin and his old contact Lamar Davis hits the streets of Los Santos and looks everywhere to recover Dr. Dre's stolen music. During this wild goose chase, Chop the Dog, expert hacker Imani and his crew also join in to lend them a hand.
The Contract story content will introduce a new radio station and special guest hosts, including exclusive tracks from Dr. Dre himself. Moreover, there will be new vehicle, weapons and much more to carry out agency works and missions.

Rockstar has recently delayed physical editions of GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition release after massive fan-backlash. They also announced to move up launch for enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto 5 to a March 2022 window earlier.
Grand Theft Auto Online is currently available for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One platforms. Rockstar Games plans to shut down servers for PS3 and Xbox 360 versions a day after GTA Online: The Contract arrives.
