Although originally expected to launch in 2021, upcoming action-adventure game God of War: Ragnarök by developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment will be releasing next year on PlayStation 4 and 5.
Since there has been no official release date or a launch window revealed by Santa Monica or Sony yet, no one really knows when GoW: Ragnarök is arriving next year but a newest leak on PlayStation Network may have leaked a date.
A latest leak on PlayStation database have revealed a possible God of War: Ragnarök release date set for September 30, 2022. However, it could also be a placeholder date for now or may be God of War sequel is planned for Q3 2022.
This new leak could also be real but fans would have to wait for another few months to know for sure. September 30 is on Friday and new games usually releases on Tuesdays and Fridays, seemingly fulfilling a launch day requirement.

Companies generally releases their biggest games during fall and therefore, an early fall date makes sense for GoW: Ragnarök. Besides, this would put some months between GoW sequel and any other PlayStation-exclusives in 2022.
Sony's major first-party PS5-exclusives next year is Horizon Forbidden West in February and is followed by Babylon's Fall in March. Other third-party exclusives include Forspoken and Sifu in Q1 2022 and GhostWire: Tokyo on a later day.
Ragnarök will apparently see an end to Norse Adventure Saga for Kratos and his teenage son Atreus. Earlier in October, a PC version for God of War (2018) was announced with a release date currently scheduled for January 14, 2022.
God of War: Ragnarök aiming for a September 2022 release date actually make sense as first half of next year seems pretty busy for Sony. Meanwhile, dev team at Santa Monica can take time to polish their game for best experience.
