Bully 2 Back in Development and May Be Revealed Soon |
During mid-2019, there was a rumor regarding a sequel for 2006 action-adventure game Bully to be released in holiday 2020 for cross-gen platforms followed by a tease Diamond Casino & Resort update for Grand Theft Auto Online.
Earlier this year, developer/publisher Rockstar Games have updated Bully trademark and fans started to speculate once again. A new report from a reliable insider claims that Bully 2 is back in development and could be revealed soon.
According to industry insider Tom Henderson, Rockstar was reportedly planning for a reveal at The Game Awards 2021 after they have shown a "playable" version of the game to few people but backed out it for some unknown reason.
Henderson added that details on Bully sequel are currently "a bit blurry" and therefore, all of his claims are somewhat vague. He admits that a playable version (and not cancelled one) was shown few weeks before The Game Awards.
Tom Henderson shared whatever detail he came across recently on a sequel game to Bully on social media.
Some people saw a "Playable version" just a couple of weeks prior to TGA (not the canned version).

Like I said - Information is blurry atm. But I thought it was worth reporting on as there's something definitely "going on" to do with the series.
Game Informer associate editor Blake Hester has also posted an image of Bully logo on Twitter and seemingly supported these rumors. However, he backed out soon but Henderson believes that Rockstar is doing something with Bully.
Rockstar co-founder and Grand Theft Auto series head writer, Dan Houser apparently wrote a script for Bully 2 during early 2008. Dan and a few of her trusted developers even worked on a few scenes and an outline for entire plotline.
Houser had original protagonist Jimmy Hopkins return along with a bunch of other characters for Bully sequel. It would have likely begun in summer season at his step-dad's house nearing end of a school year, according to sources.
Dan Houser had some ideas about Bully 2 but he never finished writing a full story and has left Rockstar Games last year. After reports of several cancellations, Rockstar may finally be working on it alongside Grand Theft Auto VI release.
