Originally revealed ahead of worldwide release of Nintendo Switch handheld consoles in 2017, post-apocalyptic role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei V from developer/publisher Atlus has only become available on Switch last week.
Although labeled as a Switch-exclusive, SMT V may very well be released across other platforms in future. Also, a recent datamining reveals that Atlus have plans for a multi-platform release of Shin Megami Tensei 5 at some point soon.
According to evidence found by a dataminer, SMT V is listed for PC and PlayStation 4 alongside Switch as target platforms within its codes. If these are any indication for a port, then it will be playable on PlayStation 5 consoles as well.
Earlier this year, Atlus and Sega revealed plans to have a global release on multi-platform for all future games. Therefore, bringing their long-awaited SMT game to PC and PlayStation consoles makes a lot of sense and fits their strategy.
A dataminer known as Pan-Hime has shared a list of target platforms for Shin Megami Tensei V on Twitter.

SMT V will be joining a list of Nintendo Switch-exclusives that eventually launched across other platforms over time. Other than third-party games, games that are published by Nintendo are the only ones to remain on Switch forever.
Shin Megami Tensei 5 getting a multi-platform release is good news for long-time series fans as more people will be able to enjoy it. Besides, PC and PS4 players won't probably have any issues about performance, as opposed to Switch.
