Newest installment of open-world crime adventure franchise Saints Row has been revealed by developer Volition and publisher Deep Silver at Gamescom 2021 Opening Night Live showcase only to receive poor reaction from series fans.
Saints Row reboot was originally scheduled to launch across all major platforms on February 25, 2022. However, an official press release from Volition has been shared recently that announces a new release window set for August 23, 2022.
A message from Volition CCO Jim Boone on Saints Row official website reveals that they are no longer releasing upcoming rebooted title on previously determined date and is pushed back for another six months to maintain overall quality.
Volition dev team is prioritizing to establish their vision for next best Saints Row game possible and resolved to do so. However, releasing on original date won't meet the standards they have in mind, which series fans expect and deserve.
Saints Row delayed release date was shared earlier on social media on behalf of Volition CCO Jim Boone.

At this point, Volition will be doing some fine tuning and polish without changing much of core game experience. Boone added that they simply underestimated how COVID-19 would impact everyone in working from home arrangement.
Saints Row reboot claims to have the largest in-game map in series history and need more time to meet its size and scope. Anticipating fans can rest assured that no characters or storyline are going to be changed regardless of any criticism.
