A surprise announcement at PlayStation Showcase 2021 event by developer Insomniac Games has officially revealed upcoming action-adventure game Marvel's Wolverine, which is currently in works and will be a PlayStation 5-exclusive.
Although nothing much of their newest project was shared publicly at this point, Insomniac has apparently roped in narrative director for highly-controversial 2012 shooter Spec Ops: The Line as lead writer of latest Wolverine video game.
Walt D. Williams was a talent behind much-debated 2012 entry in Spec Ops franchise and other known games. This little piece of information was out there for a while and has been spotted by known industry insider Shinobi602 on Twitter.
Spec Ops: The Line became a hot-topic for discussion upon release and made players question their action during missions. Previously, Williams have also been a part of Star Wars: Battlefront II as well as narrative of Star Wars: Squadrons.
Shinobi602 has shared Twitter bio of writer Walt D. Williams, pointing out his involvement in Marvel's Wolverine.

Insomniac creative director Brian Horton has confirmed that Marvel's Wolverine is aiming for a "mature tone". Set in a shared universe with Marvel's Spider-Man, there are even references of Incredible Hulk making a possible appearance.
Marvel's Wolverine has fans of titular Marvel comic-book character speculating over how dark and grim its story would be. Given past works of Walt D. Williams, it could explore his shadowy past of being a subject for Weapon X program.
