During a livestream for PlayStation Showcase 2021, developer Insomniac Games and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment reveals upcoming action-adventure game Marvel's Spider-Man 2, will be releasing exclusively to PlayStation 5.
Although there is no detail available regarding gameplay and possible story arc for Spider-Man 2, some newly surfaced rumors on Marvel's Spider-Man sequel are making rounds online that requires confirmation from Insomniac Games.
According to an anonymous source, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 would feature villains like The Lizard and Mysterio aside from previously teased Kraven the Hunter and Venom, both possibly serving as primary antagonist for our arachnid heroes.
Kraven will reportedly send his mercenaries to stalk Spider-Men throughout various locations of New York City. Rumor suggests that Peter will receive a Venom suit from Oscorp during an early phase, which may bring a darker tone to story.

In terms of gameplay, both Peter Parker and Miles Morales are available as playable characters throughout entire game. Whoever among them is left out by player will join during missions as an AI controlled ally, which sounds really cool.
Insomniac has made improvement to web-slinging and traversal mechanic by taking advantage of PlayStation 5 hardware. Rumor says that Spidey will have option for web grappling and wall-crawling will feel much smoother than before.
Even though no credible sources were cited to verify accuracy to newest Spider-Man 2 rumor, it actually seems quite reasonable. Kraven's way of going after Spidey and improvements to web-shooting gameplay isn't that far-fetched at all.
Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) already introduced several known villains like Dr. Octopus, Kingpin, Mister Negative as well as Vulture from the pages of comic-book and Insomniac Games adding a few more to its sequel won't be any surprise.
