Back in August, developer 343 Industries and publisher Xbox Game Studios officially announces a set release date for upcoming first-person shooter Halo Infinite during Gamescom 2021 Xbox showcase, arriving soon on December 8, 2021.
Due to major fan-backlash last year for outdated graphics, 343 Industries has delayed launching of Infinite. Over a year later, a full-length overview trailer is revealed today, offering highlights of campaign gameplay featuring Master Chief.
Newly released overview trailer for Halo Infinite showcases few key-moments from campaign gameplay.
Latest campaign gameplay for Halo Infinite opens up with a flashback to previous events, which has lead to The Banished taking over. In a moment of crisis, Master Chief was found by a soldier and they attempt to recover a weapon of war.
To inspire hope, Spartan-117 returns back in action and unleashed upon The Banished enemies to recover a new AI known as The Weapon. She was created to keep Cortana under locks while Chief is looking for the reason of her betrayal.
As he runs across semi-open-world locations of Zeta Halo alongside surviving UNSC forces, The Weapon offers him virtual assistance. Chief showcases usage of his grappling hook for traversal or even swing towards enemies in some case.
Aside from facing Banished leader Atriox, Chief will go up against Jega 'Rdomnai and drone-like enemy type, Skimmers. Halo Infinite briefly touches upon vehicle and weapons spawn points as well, before delving into more combat action.
Despite having a troubled development cycle, 343 Industries taking a year to polish Infinite has finally paid off as newest look at campaign gameplay looks great and reception for multiplayer technical previews were also overtly positive.
Halo Infinite currently scheduled to release for PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S later this year. As a first-party title from Xbox Game Studios, members of Xbox Game Pass will receive day-one access to play Infinite on supported platforms.
