Doom Eternal game director Hugo Martin has offered a glimpse of Horde mode today ahead of its launch. Update 6.66 is said to be the biggest free content till date that comes bundled with a few improvements to Battlemode and more.
Battlemode 2.0 will have Doom Slayer facing off two other player-controlled demons in round-based 2v1 matches. id Software has introduced a new arena, added some enhancements and tweaked a couple of streak-focused rewards.
Horde mode for Doom Eternal has been revealed earlier during QuakeCon 2021 panel following cancelation of Invasion multiplayer mode. Due to unexpected consequence of ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it ultimately had to be shelved.
