Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies Revealed |
Although casual gamers in general are not too hyped up for upcoming 2021 first-person shooter title Call of Duty: Vanguard from developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision, die-hard series fans are still excited for its launch.
Vanguard has successfully completed Open Beta test last month and reveals a new story trailer a few days ago. As promised earlier, California-based studio Treyarch has released a first-look at long-anticipated classic Zombies mode today.
Activision and Treyarch showcases newest chapter of Dark Aether and premise for Vanguard Zombies mode.
In a first-ever series crossover, Dark Aether storyline continues through Vanguard Zombies that begins in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Set during World War II, players are introduced to a bunch of new characters and undead horrors.
Vanguard Zombies mode explores a newest chapter of Dark Aether titled "Der Anfang", heading over to Stalingrad, 1944. Special Forces operatives find themselves stranded across dimensions to combat an occult-powered enemy faction.
Treyarch Studios goes back to World War II series roots introduced in Call of Duty: Zombies for latest chapter in Zombies mode. Players can step into Hotel Royal and fan-favorite Shi No Numa map through a portal to complete objectives.
After a Nazi experiment went terribly wrong, Oberführer Wolfram Von List decides to use a relic of mystical origin to raise the dead. Meanwhile, Vanguard heroes are assisted by demonologist Gabriel Krafft in battling Dark Aether entities.
Treyarch Studios dev team has taken advantage of Sledgehammer Games' gameplay mechanics to deliver an immersive experience. Players can expect to get their hands on new Perks, classic weapon upgrades and Pack-a-Punch machine.
You can find randomized upgrades at Altar of Covenants by offering Sacrificial Heart loot items, which includes ability to reload non-equipped weapons with Ammo Gremlin or turning zombies to join your side using Brain Rot and lot more.
Vanguard players can expect to play together with support for cross-platforms and generations for everyone. Activision promises to add a new anti-cheat system "Ricochet" to ensure account security, fair-play and combat cheating issues.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms on November 2021. Player progression will be shared through a Battle Pass system for Black Ops Cold War and Warzone.
