Marvel's Wolverine Trailer Teases at Hulk Easter Egg

Ever since Sony Interactive Entertainment made an announcement for PlayStation Showcase broadcast earlier last week, fans have been waiting to get a glimpse at Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and never expected to see Marvel's Wolverine.

Although not much is revealed regarding its cast other than Wolverine himself and there was not much to take away from official teaser trailer other than a missable Easter egg that subtly hints at another well-known Marvel super-hero.

Marvel's Wolverine announcement teaser opening scene shows a trashed-up bar, where Logan is pouring a drink while "Dark End of the Street" by James Carr plays in the in background and you can spot a reference to The Incredible Hulk.

Behind the bar counter where he is sitting, there is a license plate that reads "HLK-181" and it is clearly a call back to The Incredible Hulk (1974), Issue 181, marking first appearance of Marvel's deadliest mutant and X-Men member Wolverine.

An early rumor has hinted that developer Insomniac Games was busy working on two projects for Marvel but not much detail. Apparently, their pitch for a solo Wolverine experience just got greenlit a while ago and currently being in works.

It has already been confirmed by Insomniac that both Marvel's Spider-Man and Wolverine are within same universe. It won't be a surprise if they end up deciding to pit Hulk Vs. Wolverine in-game at some point to expand a larger universe.

Insomniac may have put this Easter egg up in Marvel's Wolverine as a nod to Logan's origin and nothing more. However, it would be really cool to see them fight considering how many battles they fought each other to death over the years.

Marvel's Wolverine is coming exclusively to PlayStation 5 consoles but no release date is given yet. Since no story details have been shared so far, there is always a possibility for Hulk showing up to play an important role or even smash him.
