For months now, California based video game company Activision/Blizzard is facing a lawsuit for engaging in alleged abuse, discrimination and sexual harassment towards female employees by California state agency, which they have denied.
In a few days, long-awaited Diablo 2 Remake is finally coming out and after being hit by an anti-discrimination lawsuit lately, Blizzard studio designer says consumers should make decision for whether to purchase D2: Resurrected at launch.
By next week, upcoming action role-playing game Diablo II: Resurrected will be released across all major platforms on September 23, 2021, which will be first game by Activision/Blizzard since their recent lawsuit by state agency of California.
D2 Remake has been developed by Blizzard Entertainment owned studio Vicarious Visions and its design director Rob Gallerani said that fans should "do what they feel is right" when they are to consider buying it following recent allegations.
Dev team has looked into original content of Diablo II for any problematic references and found nothing so far. Gallerani also added that aesthetic change in character model includes a female Amazon warrior redesign to overhaul her outlook.
In light of development rumors, Vicarious Visions announced working on Diablo II: Resurrected in February 2021. Previously, they worked on Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2, before being acquired by Blizzard.
