Though only a year of production remains, things can go awry anytime due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic or Activision could move up Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 release to 2021 and buy more time for an untitled Call of Duty 2021.
Despite being launched two years ago, 2019 Modern Warfare reboot has over 2,000,000 active players till date. It became one of the best-selling games of all time, selling more than 30 million copies across all platforms by September 2020.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see if upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sequel can live up to its iconic predecessor since everything is going fine but they still have to wait for another year as Activision scheduled MW2 to release in 2022.
