During mid-July, developer/publisher miHoYo announced to add Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn into playable characters roster of 2020 free-to-play action role-playing game Genshin Impact by later this year across all available platforms.
However, PlayStation officially confirms adding Aloy a month earlier than originally planned in a surprise reveal today. She will be joining as a free character through Genshin Impact version 2.1 update arriving soon on September 1, 2021.
Version 2.1 to add islands and stories to explore at Inazuma while legendary Nora huntress Aloy in her newest journey. Players who reach Adventure Rank 20 or above can get access to her as five-star crossover character once you log in.
Aloy will obtain a Cryo Vision when she visits Teyvat and arrow attacks of her four-star Predator bow are enhanced by her new powers. She can deal AoE Cryo damage with elemental burst and her elemental skill buffs other team-mates.
Horizon Zero Dawn developer Guerrilla Games has worked closely alongside MiHoYo for latest Genshin Impact crossover. Version 2.1 will also conclude final chapter of Inazuma storyline and upcoming Archon quest to unfold a lot more.
Genshin Impact 2.0 update has introduced new areas, characters, events and quests to Inazuma region. Impressed by its outpouring success, miHoYo plans to launch additional content "Savior from Another World" update by next month.
