From Software Reportedly Working on PlayStation-Exclusive Souls Game

With release of a new generation of consoles last year, Sony Interactive Entertainment decided to revive PlayStation 3-era action role-playing game Demon's Souls exclusively for PlayStation 5, receiving universal acclaim from fans and critics.

A recent report claims that Sony is partnering up original developer From Software once again to work on a brand-new Soulslike game, which will release exclusively for PlayStation platform but certainly will not be a sequel to Bloodborne.

In a recent post on social media, Twitter user HazzadorGaming shared a new rumor by claiming From Software will be developing a new PlayStation-exclusive Soulslike game and XboxERA co-founder Shpeshal_Nick seemingly seconded him.

Industry insider Shpeshal_Nick responded to that Tweet by noting that he was planning to leak it next week. HazzadorGaming also mentioned that Sony is currently preparing to stream their upcoming State of Play broadcast on August 19.

While supporting HazzadorGaming's claim of a new Soulslike game, Shpeshal_Nick also stated that Wipeout series will be returning for current console generation and a new game is already in development for PlayStation 5/PlayStation VR.

There have been some rumors about a PlayStation 5-exclusive new Souls game recently but no credible source until now. However, it will take some time for From Software to announce their next project as they are busy finishing Elden Ring.

Unless there is an official announcement, fans are advised to take things with a grain of salt for now. Although given past history, From Software and Sony signing up for another PlayStation-exclusive project shouldn't be a matter of surprise.
