Activision unexpectedly drops a teaser trailer announcing Call of Duty: Vanguard, set to reveal soon through Warzone event.

An advert on PlayStation Store today has confirmed that upcoming 2021 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard by developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision will soon be revealed through a Warzone in-game event.
Activision eventually took social to announce Vanguard reveal set for later this week on August 19, 10:30 AM PT/1:30 PM EDT. In a surprise move, they even released an official teaser trailer that offers a first-look at next Call of Duty game.

Latest trailer for Call of Duty: Vanguard opens up with a couple of shots across World War II-era battlefields. Location of an abandoned sniper's nest, a desert landscape, wilderness in Germany and a war-torn beach are briefly panned over.
Each of these scenes teases a face or names that are probably playable characters of Vanguard and are featured in official Key-Art. Also, above mentioned four backdrops are likely to serve as four major theaters of war during WWII events.
Activision and Sledgehammer Games has been teasing a WWII setting for Vanguard following an early leak. Players are expected to explore Eastern Front, North Africa, Pacific and Western Front during single-player story campaign mode.
Sledgehammer Games was sending teaser videos to content creators from earlier and Warzone joined the same bandwagon by updating its victory scene, where a player of winning team gets killed by a mysterious female sniper character.
Players can expect to get a better look and further details during "Battle of Verdansk" event on August 19, 2021. Meanwhile, they will be rewarded with Double XP, Double Battle Pass XP and Double Weapon XP in Warzone for limited time.
Call of Duty: Vanguard to reportedly host an Alpha Test that is currently is scheduled for August 27-29, before PlayStation Beta next month. Vanguard will add multiplayer and a Zombies mode developed by California-based studio Treyarch.
