Call of Duty: Vanguard PlayStation Alpha Release Date

Latest entry in Call of Duty series, upcoming 2021 first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard by developer Sledgehammer Games and publisher Activision has officially been revealed last week with a first-look at its World War II-era setting.

Today, Activision is inviting all Sony console owners to join free PlayStation Alpha starting from August 27, 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET to play Champion Hill multiplayer game mode for a limited time until August 29, 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET.

A newly released trailer shows a brief glimpse to PlayStation-exclusive Alpha for Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Sledgehammer Games offers players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 a chance to experience pre-release version of Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer in brand-new Champion Hill mode via PlayStation Alpha months before global launch.

Vanguard PlayStation Alpha would allow Sledgehammer dev team to get player-feedback from across the globe and polish before release. Champion Hill will introduce new multiplayer maps with destructible environments and much more.

Alpha participants get to try out a few weapons that can be modified with up to 10 attachments while playing as one of the four central characters; Operator Arthur Kingsley, Lucas Riggs, Polina Petrova or Wade Jackson in Champion Hill mode.

Inspired by 2v2 Gunfight mode of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), a tournament-style new deathmatch is coming to CoD: Vanguard. Party up in a 2v2 duo or a 3v3 trio for multi-life round against squads and bring their life count to zero.

Each team will begin with similar loadout before going out collecting Cash and killing off enemy players as they scavenge for supplies. You can upgrade your primary weapons, buy equipments, Killstreaks and Perks in between Combat Rounds.

PlayStation 4 and 5 players can begin pre-load from August 23, 3:00 AM PT/6:00 AM ET before Alpha kick-starts soon. You will receive a Calling Card and an Emblem just for taking part in Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha program later this week.

Alpha requires an internet connection and no PlayStation Plus subscription for most cases but you can pre-order to get access for Open Beta weekend from September 10-13, followed by a second and a third Beta over all other platforms.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on November 5, 2021. Sledgehammer Games will be adding a new anti-cheat system and multiplayer reveal will be on September 2021.
