Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare DLC Out Now

DotEmu launches Streets of Rage 4 DLC expansion Mr. X Nightmare, out on PC, PS4, Switch and Xbox One.

As a thanking gesture to fan-support, developer DotEmu, Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube announces a new DLC expansion for 2020 side-scrolling beat 'em up game Streets of Rage 4, titled Mr. X Nightmare back in August last year.

Fast forward to almost a year later, Mr. X Nightmare DLC add-on is releasing today on Nintendo Switch, PC via GOG, Steam and Windows Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, coming with a lot of features, fixes and some additional content.

DotEmu has revealed a new trailer to celebrate launch of Mr. X Nightmare DLC today across all platforms.

Mr. X Nightmare DLC expands exiting SoR4 roster by adding more playable characters; police woman Estel Aguirre, pro wrestler Max Thunder and recurring boss Shiva from past Streets of Rage games, joining heroes of Wood Oak City.

Estel has a hard-hitting style of fighting compared to other two and her regular move list even has grenades. Hailing from SoR2, Max is a slow grappler character and Shiva character design was focused around combos and special attack.

Survival Mode Challenge

One of the highlights of Mr. X Nightmare DLC is newly introduced Survival mode, where players will take on never-ending wave of enemies. Each of these runs are randomly generated and has a lot of unique perks to offer in between rounds.

Survival mode will also permanently unlock various moves to use across Streets of Rage 4 game modes. There is an arsenal of new weapons to get your hands on, online leaderboards to beat and new music tracks by Tee Lopes to groove to.

Newest add-on DLC pack comes along with a free update that lets you change color pallets of each SoR4 character outfits. Mania + difficulty level and in-depth Training mode are included as well as a bunch of requested balancing changes.

Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare DLC expansion will be sold digitally for a retail price of $7.99 only. DotEmu also discounted SoR4 original base game on Steam and Switch by 40% for a very limited time special promotion until July 29, 2021.
