In response to an outpouring fan-support for side-scrolling beat 'em up game Streets of Rage 4 on release, developer DotEmu, Guard Crush Games and Lizardcube will be launching upcoming Mr. X Nightmare DLC expansion on all platforms.
Streets of Rage 4: Mr. X Nightmare DLC has been announced to release for digital download on Nintendo Switch, PC via GOG, Steam and Windows Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on July 15, 2021, for a retail price of $7.99 only.

Mr. X Nightmare DLC aims to get more playable characters to existing roster, new games mode and much more. One of the features that dev team always wanted to add was a Survival mode but they had to focus more on campaign launch.
Streets of Rage 4 is finally bringing Survival mode to light with unique challenges and replayable value in newest DLC. There will be waves of enemies for players to tackle and put their fighting abilities to test while collecting perks and survive.
Depending on your preferred playstyle, you can either go for random brawls or have set weekly challenges. Playing with SoR4 combat system, DotEmu effectively delivers an endless variation of enemy onslaught on heroes of Wood Oak City.
On completion of each level, random skills will get unlocked that enhances player character till they are defeated. You can also get cool new weapons for future Survival mode training session and obtain deadly moves to use across all modes.

DotEmu has already revealed adding SoR4 fan-favorite characters Estel, Max and Shiva to Mr. X Nightmare DLC. These trios of campaign bosses were integrated to new game system with their regular list of combos, moves and special attack.
Streets of Rage 4 current players will receive a new Mania+ difficulty level, along with a number of adjustments, balances and improvements in a free update that also includes choices of color palettes for each characters and a practice mode.
