On the last week of each month, there are a lot of speculations regarding what games will soon be joining PlayStation Plus freebies for upcoming month until it is officially announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment on scheduled time.
This month however, Sony has accidentally revealed their PS Plus games lineup for August 2021 way ahead of time by posting it on official PlayStation website earlier and not letting anyone to guess, only to remove it shortly afterwards.
PlayStation Plus free games for August includes Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and Tennis World Tour 2, according to leaks. PS Plus members will be able to download these titles on PlayStation 4 and 5 from August 3, 2021.
Sony already confirms adding 30-player Battle Royale game Hunter's Arena: Legends for PS Plus in August during State of Play stream this month, where developer/publisher Mantisco debuts a new trailer showing its PvP and PvE gameplay.
Though most Sony console owners subscribe to PS Plus service to play online multiplayer, those monthly free games are a great bonus. Despite many of them never playing these titles, a lot of their members would claim them regardless.
On the eve of next-gen console launch, Sony made some major changes and improvements to their online services like PlayStation Now and Plus to compete with Xbox Game Pass but their offerings have lately become a lot lackluster.
