Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island Story Trailer

A year has passed since PlayStation 4-exclusive samurai action-adventure Ghost of Tsushima by developer Sucker Punch Productions and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment is launched as fans are currently celebrating its first Anniversary.

Earlier this month, Sucker Punch has announced Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut that includes a new story expansion titled Iki Island and few gameplay upgrades, which is scheduled to arrive for PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles on August 20, 2021.

Sucker Punch releases a brand-new story trailer today, revealing more details on Iki Island DLC expansion.

After fending off Tsushima Island from invading army of Mongols, protagonist Jin Sakai is now returning to Iki Island. He will be exploring new locations, meet people and fight new enemies in persuasion of a mysterious threat to his people.

Jin will be investigating a rumor of shaman Ankhsar Khatun AKA "The Eagle" and her devoted cult-like tribe setting foot on Iki Island. Aside from her preceding reputation of being known as a conqueror of nations, she is a mystic guide of souls.

Iki Island is different than Tsushima in a lot of ways and it remained independent from samurai warriors for decades. While fighting off new enemies, he comes across a variety of characters and looks back at buried, dark history of clan Sakai.

To save his people from this unlikely danger, Jin revisits Iki Island and is forced to face his past fears. He realizes how outnumbered he is to fight against The Eagle and her tribe regardless of his exceptional skills and tactics of a fearless "Ghost".

There are new legends to discover in Iki Island and Jin will be mastering new fighting techniques to face off The Eagle. Sucker Punch dev team plans to introduce emotional and personal stories of its inhabitants amidst a time of war and calamity.

Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island expansion will be part of Director's Cut edition and is available for pre-order now on PS5 for $69.99 only. Players who already purchased PS4 version of the game can simply chose to get an upgrade for just $19.99.
