Ghost of Tsushima Celebrates First Anniversary |
It's been a year since PlayStation 4-exclusive samurai action-adventure game Ghost of Tsushima by developer Sucker Punch Productions and publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment has been launched, selling over 6.5 million copies till date.
Sucker Punch is currently in a festive mood in celebration of its launch anniversary and reveals a number of stats on social media. Moreover, they are also bringing back alternate DLC costumes inspired by other PlayStation games of last year.
Throughout the year, players were busy in various activities such as having over 679 standoffs, engaging themselves into more than 333 duels, written 68.5 million Haikus, taken breathtaking shots using photo mode, pet foxes and lot more.
Sucker Punch has shared their gratitude to player-community on Twitter and is getting back a series of alternate DLC outfits that were introduced back in December 2020, for a very limited time as a tribute to major PlayStation franchises.
PlayStation-Themed DLC Costumes Return |
These themed armors take inspiration from games like Bloodborne, God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Shadow of the Colossus. Players can unlock them by completing any Legends Story or Survival Mode mission with every character class.
Adding a set of PlayStation-themed DLC costumes for Ghost of Tsushima last year was a genius cross-promotional move by Sucker Punch. Bringing them back again is an even better idea for celebrating first anniversary of the game's release.
GoT players will be joining Legends online co-op mode in coming weeks posing as Aloy or Kratos while they wait for Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut to release in August, which includes a DLC expansion, PlayStation 5 improvements and more.
Ghost of Tsushima was heavily lauded by critics and players for its overall gameplay aspects and story depiction through lens of history. It has won over a number of accolades and became one of the fastest-selling PlayStation 4-exclusives ever.
