Due to global crisis of COVID-19 pandemic last year, E3 2020 press events were cancelled but Nintendo still rolled out a number of Direct Mini: Partner Showcase to keep fans engaged and they are returning this year with lots of news.
Amidst ongoing hype for E3 2021 press events, Nintendo announced to host a Nintendo Direct presentation and a Treehouse Showcase stream, which is set to go live on Twitch, Twitter and YouTube at June 15, 8:00 AM PT/11:00 AM EDT.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate | Fighters Pass Vol. 2 DLC Fighter
Announcing latest DLC fighter for crossover fighting game Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, game director Masahiro Sakurai reveals Kazuya Mishima from Tekken series will join Fighters Pass Vol. 2 later this month on June 28, 2021.
In his debut teaser trailer, Kazuya is seen throwing off a number of SSBU fighters from a ledge to a volcano upon defeating them. Being an experienced brawler, he employs an intense style of fighting and can transform into Devil Kazuya.
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection and True Colors | Nintendo Switch
A bundle of Square Enix's episodic graphic adventure titles that includes remastered version of first Life is Strange game and its prequel Life Is Strange: Before the Storm has been announced for Switch and is set to release later this year.
Upcoming series entry, Life is Strange: True Colors will also be arriving for Switch on September 10, 2021. True Colors centers around a new character named Alex Chen, who uses her power to uncover mysteries about her brother's death.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy | Cloud Version
More cloud version of AAA-games are being rolled out for Switch handheld using cloud services and Nintendo intends to get upcoming Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy from developer Eidos Montréal and publisher Square Enix on launch.
You will be playing as Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord, leading his team of Guardians in a never-ending quest of kicking ass and taking names. Although a single-player experience, his fellow Guardians will be there to help out and controlled by AI.
Mario Party Superstars | Nintendo Switch
Announcing a new installment in Mario Party series, developer NDcube and publisher Nintendo reveals upcoming party game Mario Party Superstars, which will be arriving for Nintendo Switch consoles later this year on October 29, 2021.
Party Superstars is a full priced game that includes 100 mini-games from previous series entries, all remastered in HD and looks a lot like Super Mario Party, adding boards from Nintendo 64 era titles, with new events and online multiplayer.
Metroid Dread | Announced
Instead of sharing any development update of highly-anticipated title Metroid Prime 4 during E3 2021, Nintendo made a surprise reveal of upcoming action-adventure game Metroid Dread, in association with developer Mercury Steam.
Following events of Metroid Fusion, intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran returns to 2D side-scrolling action in Dread as she visits planet ZDR to investigate a threat and is hunted by EMMI robots, coming to Switch on October 08, 2021.
Shin Megami Tensei V | Gameplay and Release Date
After a leak from early June, developer/publisher Atlus confirms a release date for upcoming Nintendo Switch-exclusive role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei V in today's Nintendo Direct broadcast, set to arrive on November 12, 2021.
Atlus has also offered fans a peek into turn-based mechanics of SMTV and story premise set in a dystopian future. Player character is a student in Tokyo, who steps into an alternate reality and gets drafted in fight between Angels and Demons.
Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods, Part 1 | Nintendo Switch
Thanks to Panic Button, acclaimed first-person shooter Doom Eternal by developer id Software and publisher Bethesda Softworks arrived on Switch last year, which is followed by The Ancient Gods, Part 1 standalone DLC campaign today.
Series protagonist Doomguy makes his return for first story expansion of Doom Eternal as there is a looming threat over the horizon. He visits back to Urdak after forces of Hell has decimated whatever left of Heavens and other dimensions.
Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope | Release Window
Rumors of a sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle started making rounds earlier this year when official Twitter account for Rabbids changed its name all of a sudden and fans took hints of an upcoming confirmation for 2021 or beyond.
Lo and behold, Rabbids series developer/publisher Ubisoft unveils upcoming turn-based tactical role-playing game Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope at latest Nintendo E3 Direct event as one of the biggest surprises; all set to release next year.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity | Expansion Pass, Wave 1
First wave of Expansion Pass titled "Pulse of the Ancients" for 2020 hack and slash game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 18, 2021, followed by a second wave of DLCs scheduled to arrive this November.
Wave 1 includes Battle-Tested Guardian as new playable character, unlockable Flail for Link and Master Cycle for Zelda. Aside from pre-order bonuses, there are challenges, difficulty level and added enemies for a retail price of only $19.99.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel | Release Window
A follow-up sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was announced back in E3 2019 with a brief teaser. It took years for Nintendo to finally reveal a first-look at gameplay footage and an expected launch window for next year.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sequel is currently headed to Nintendo Switch consoles for a 2022 release. Link is seen to be exploring all-new locations set in skies of Hyrule, while he shows off new abilities to phase through objects.
Addressing current status of much-awaited Breath of the Wild sequel and Shin Megami Tensei 5 was surely a highlight of today's stream. Newly revealed Metroid Dread and WarioWare: Get It Together! was also amidst the biggest shockers.
