After a surprise reveal of upcoming sci-fi role-playing game Starfield from developer/publisher Bethesda Softworks at E3 2018 conference through an official teaser trailer, no launch platform or release date has not been confirmed yet.
As if it was not quite apparent already for everyone, a well-reputed industry insider has recently claimed on Twitter that Bethesda's much-awaited newest game Starfield to release exclusively on PC and Xbox family of consoles next year.
During an ongoing livestream this Friday, known GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb revealed on social media that Bethesda's hotly-anticipated RPG title Starfield will be an exclusive to Xbox family of consoles and Windows PC platforms.
Following official E3 2018 announcement, Bethesda Game Studios' director Todd Howard said that Starfield is a game that he wanted to make for very long time, which is likely to be one of the biggest RPG from The Elder Scrolls creators.

Sony Interactive Entertainment was in talks to negotiate a timed exclusivity deal for Starfield as a PS5-exclusive before rival company Microsoft acquired Bethesda last September, according to former Game Informer journalist Imran Khan.
Considering how long Starfield has been under development since at least 2013, many assumed that Bethesda signed a deal with Sony regarding console exclusivity to make up for production costs even before Microsoft acquired ZeniMax.
Xbox boss Phil Spencer assured that Microsoft will honor all exiting contract for PS5-exclusivity including Deathloop and GhostWire: Tokyo. Moreover, future Bethesda games will be released across other platforms on a case-by-case basis.
Starfield being an exclusive to PC and Xbox consoles makes a lot of sense for Microsoft as they are aggressively investing to bring more content and talent to roll out more titles to Xbox Game Pass library on day-one to increase service value.
