Shortly after acquiring Cold Iron Studios back in 2018, FoxNext Games have teased a brand-new shooter title set in Alien universe. Many people originally thought it to be Alien: Blackout, which turned out to be a mobile game by Rival Games.
Today, developer Cold Iron Studios and 20th Century Games officially revealed a new trailer for upcoming third-person shooter Aliens: Fireteam, set to arrive for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on summer 2021.

Aliens: Fireteam is a co-operative survival shooter experience that takes place 23 years after original Alien trilogy. Governments are now aware of Xenomorph outbreaks and sends groups of Colonial Marines to take out these deadly threats.
Player character is a recruit stationed at USS Endeavor, journeying to LV-895 alongside a Marine Assault Unit. You will be engaging in three-player PvE story campaign missions similar to games from Left 4 Dead series within iconic Alien universe.
Players will be going up against more than 11 types of Xenomorphs that are not just limited to Facehuggers to Praetorians. Occasionally they will have to deal with Weyland-Yutani Synthetic enemies and many other challenging threats as well.
Select from five playable classes ranging from Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc and Recon for character perks and unique abilities. You can choose from an extensive arsenal of more than 30 firearms and over 70 weapon mods to equip with.
You are allowed to customize your Marine character with unlockable cosmetic items but there will be no micro-transactions. Abilities can be modified using Perk Board system and Challenge Cards are there to add variation to your playthrough.
Aliens: Fireteam will soon be revealing a gameplay overview on March 4, 9:00 AM PT/12:00 PM EDT. Cold Iron Studios has promised 20-minutes of walkthrough showcase and they might even reveal some gameplay features and storyline details.
