To help people staying indoors and prevent spreading of COVID–19 pandemic, Sony Interactive Entertainment announced brand-new Play At Home initiative last year, giving away Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Journey for free.
Sony intends to bring back Play At Home for this year, starting with 2016 platformer Ratchet & Clank by developer Insomniac Games for PlayStation community next month and to continue forward through following months until June 2021.
Owners of PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles can download Ratchet and Clank starting from March 1, 8:00 PM PST for a limited time, which is a great starting point to franchise ahead of upcoming PS5-exclusive release Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.
Once you claim it on PlayStation Store before March 31, 8:00 PM PDT, the game is yours to own forever. New subscribers of Funimation or Wakanim anime streaming service are getting two months of extended access from March 25, 2021.
Best part of Play At Home program is, it doesn't require you to have a PlayStation Plus monthly subscription. Although restrictions on worldwide lockdown have been dialed down lately, these games can still help you maintain socially distances.
Sony promises to share more information to PlayStation community regarding free games and other special deals in coming weeks. Funimation trial offer is available only in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, United States and UK regions.
